Intelligentization of equipment manufacturing industry is a new innovation strategy based on the deep integration of new information and communication technologies (ICTs) and advanced manufacturing technologies. These technologies are featured with self-perception, self-learning, self-decision, self-implementation and self-adaption, and are currently being adopted in almost all manufacturing activities like design, production, management and services. The development of intelligent equipment manufacturing industry is an important way to cultivate new points of economic growth. It is of great strategic significance to promote China's supply side structural reform, in order to create new competitive advantages of Chinese manufacturing industry. As the center of Chinese equipment manufacturing industry, Northeast China is to play a key role in the national strategy, Made in China 2025. Seizing opportunities to cope with the challenges is critical to revitalize northeastern region, the old industrial base of China.
Northeastern University will hold International Conference on Intelligent Innovation Strategy for Equipment Manufacturing Industry from July 3rd to 4th, 2017. Experts and scholars from Korea, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and China are invited. The topics that will be discussed (but not limited to) include the intelligence and technology catching up of the equipment manufacturing industry, technology development of ICTs and convergence of equipment manufacturing industry, disruptive innovation and upgrading of industrial structure, national innovation system and intelligentization of equipment manufacturing industry, and strategic management experience of innovative enterprises. Participants will also be invited to visit the typical equipment manufacturing company in Shenyang in order to deepen understanding of the new development of intelligentization of equipment manufacturing industry.
In order to provide all participants with satisfactory services, your participating intention should be delivered to us by telephone or E-mail before June 30th, 2017. The registration of the conference will be organized at the NEU International Hotel on July 2nd, 2017. No conference fee would be charged. The expenses of accommodation and traffic belong to the participants’ own expense.

Introduction of guest speakers
Keun Lee, professor and Ph.D supervisor of Seoul National University, editor-in-chief of Research Policy, executive associate editor-in-chief of Asian Journal of Technology Innovation, International Schumpeter Award winner in 2014. Research interests include economic catch-up, innovation economics and innovation policy, etc.
Bert Sadowski, associate professor and Ph.D supervisor at School of Industrial Engineering and Innovation Science, Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands. Research interests include analysis of ICT industrial policy, innovation economics, Regulation economics, etc. Research results are published in the leading journals such as Journal of Management Studies, Research Policy, Journal of International Business Studies and so on.
Tariq Malik, professor of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics. Research interests include innovation and entrepreneurship, organizational theory, international trade, etc. Research results are published in Research Policy、Technology Forecasting and Social Change、International Business Review、Technology Analysis and Strategic Management, etc.
Can Huang, Professor and Head of Department of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Strategy and Co-Director of Institute for Intellectual Property Management at School of Management, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. He is a member of the Chinese expert group of the U.S.-China Innovation Dialogue under the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue. He is also a member of the editorial advisory boards of five English and Chinese academic journals including Science and Public Policy and UNESCO Science Report (2015 Edition).
Peili Yu, professor and Ph.D supervisor of Northeastern University, reviewer of National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Social Science Foundation of China, member of Policy Advisory Committee of Liaoning Provincial Government. Research interests include industrial organization theory, innovation and strategic management, etc. Professor Yu has undertaken several prestigious research projects such as National Natural Science Foundation of China, Humanities and Social Sciences of Ministry of Education Planning Foundation, Ministry of Education Doctoral Foundation and so on.
